Walk-in Tissue Processor Ventilated Enclosure (Left-Right Sliding Glass Door) GCC-TFG-2000-LD

The GCC-TFG-2000-LD Tissue Dehydration Walk-in Fume Hood is designed for large tissue processors and multiple dehydrators in pathology laboratories. Featuring vertical laminar downdraft airflow, active fresh air protection, and negative pressure control, it provides effective protection against formaldehyde, xylene, and chemical vapours.

The Walk-in Tissue Processor Ventilated Enclosure with left-right sliding glass doors is a floor-standing respiratory protection air supply fume hood specifically designed for pathology laboratories where large automatic tissue processors cannot fit into standard benchtop fume hoods. When multiple tissue dehydrators are placed together or when bulky equipment exceeds conventional hood dimensions, hazardous gas concentrations can easily exceed safe levels.

Automatic tissue dehydrators continuously release formaldehyde, xylene, and other high-risk chemical vapours during operation, door opening, and maintenance procedures. This fume hood solves the problem with a room-scale enclosure and negative pressure environment that fully envelops the contamination source, regardless of equipment size.

For smaller single-processor setups, see our Walk-in Tissue Processor Ventilated Enclosure (Up-Down Sliding Glass Door) GCC-TFG-1800-BR. The system features an active fresh air protection system with vertical laminar downdraft technology. Instead of relying on traditional rear or top exhaust, clean air is delivered vertically from above, forming a stable, unidirectional air curtain between the operator’s face and the contaminated workspace.

Key Features

  • Left-Right Sliding Glass Doors: Horizontal sliding doors for easy equipment access and space-efficient operation. Ideal for laboratories where vertical door clearance is limited or where wide equipment access is required.
  • Floor-Standing Walk-In Design: Accommodates large equipment of any size — multiple tissue dehydrators, large processors, or custom configurations — with extra-wide internal dimensions.
  • Active Fresh Air Protection System: Intelligent fresh air supply interlocked with exhaust for dynamic balance. Air volume and velocity are adjustable in real time.
  • Vertical Laminar Downdraft Technology: Fresh air flows vertically from the top, creating a stable air curtain between the operator’s breathing zone and the contaminated area, preventing hazardous gases from reaching the operator.
  • Operator-Centric Respiratory Protection: The downdraft airflow continuously pushes air from the operator’s breathing zone toward the exhaust intake, prioritising operator respiratory safety above simple vapour containment.
  • Interlocked Dynamic Balance Control: Smart control system links fresh air supply and exhaust fans, automatically adjusting to maintain constant negative pressure and optimal containment.
  • Cold-Rolled Steel Plate Construction: Durable, rigid, and built for long-term use in demanding pathology laboratory environments.
  • Optional Accessories: Full touchscreen control panel, variable air volume (VAV) valve, Venturi valve.
